WHAT WE STAND FOR

Sobriety belongs
in the conversation.

You don’t need a perfect story to talk about sobriety. You can be proud of how far you’ve come and still be figuring things out. Small Town Sober makes room for both.

It starts with being honest about our own lives. Sharing what helps. Making it a little easier for the next person to say, “Me too.”

Real life. Said out loud.

The good days, the awkward moments, the fresh starts. There’s room for the whole story here.

Breaking cycles.

Questioning what we grew up around. Setting boundaries. Choosing what we want to carry forward—and what we want to leave behind.

A place to belong.

Sober, sober-curious, or starting again. Small town or big city. You don’t have to have it all figured out to join the conversation.

HEY, I’M DAWNELL.

Small-town girl.
Cycle breaker.

I’m a mom, a creative, and the founder of Small Town Sober. I’ve got big ideas, kids to raise, things to make, and a whole lot of life I want to be present for.

Sobriety is part of all of it. The ordinary days. The hard conversations. Learning to trust myself, set boundaries, and make room for the person I’m becoming. Some days that feels powerful. Some days it looks like getting through the day and trying again tomorrow.

Being a cycle breaker matters to me. So does showing my kids that we can grow, ask for help, and choose a different way forward—even while we’re still figuring things out ourselves.

Small Town Sober is where I bring that honesty. Through real conversations, stories, and a little creativity, I want to make sobriety something we can talk about openly. If you’re sober, curious, starting over, or just trying to feel a little less alone, there’s room for you here.
